Perfect Weapon 1991 Reelz Extended Cut TV Version

There was an Extended Edition that played on the Reelz channel, a few scenes were deleted from the DVD, BluRay, and Web releases. I finally came across the Reelz version so I will take the deleted scenes and insert them into a 1080p version. I have uploaded the Extended Edition to Internet Archive and Youtube…

I have been gathering every episode that I can find and going through them and finding the best quality episodes and fixing any ones that need work.

video freezes at 5:17.480 for 400ms, cut 1.4sec of audio at 5:17.725, cut 1.4sec of video at 10:34.240 so audio lined up because the German video faded to black and went to commercial, German video was missing half of one scene at 10:36 where Maeve enters the throne room, I cut in a different clip from a lower quality video, video freezes at 12:28.328 for 400ms, cut 800ms of audio at 12:29.022

English Audio was missing a scene of Tork at 5:29.90, video freezes at 4:49.320 for 440ms of Temra soldiers walking to the right, had to replace it with same footage from Episode 04, had to cut 400ms audio at 4:47.980, had to cut 200ms audio at 8:47.680, missing a scene at 10:54.5 of horses running to the left outside castle had to replace it with same footage from Episode 02, had to cut 600ms audio at 10:53.800, had to cut 1s audio at 17:57.129

English Audio was missing just a little bit of Rohan speaking at 10:39, missing footage of Temra troops at 11:31.560 had to replace it with same footage from Episode 09, (German video freezes at 3:50.920 for 440ms),

German video freezes for 400ms at 4:24.000, Eng audio had an intermission at 6:58 and needed 1.2s cut at 6:57.371, German video was missing footage at 10:31 in King Vinvara’s throneroom before the Banshee woods, (cut 200ms of audio at 10:30.705), had to cut 800ms of audio at 12:36.500, Eng audio had an intermission at 17:43.895 and needed 1.2 s cut at 17:42.536, had to copy and paste 1.4s of audio at around 18:07 of the crowd cheering to shift the audio to the right to sync up

German video was missing footage of outside Temra castle at 09:29, US video went to commercial and had a bit of intermission at 11:51.432, which the German video didnt

German video freezes for 400ms at 3:52.440, German video footage of outside Temra castle at 10:24 of soldiers was moved over in the German video to 11:27, but can either move it to the correct spot, or replace it with the same footage from Ep04, also had to cut 700ms of audio from 11:32.527 since video was cut together so it would sync up, little bit of footage of Maeve talking is missing at 10:26.080, little bit of audio was missing from the English audio at 11:31.547 had to paste it in from another english source and also had to cut 1.5s of audio from same spot, German video had a small bit of a duplicate scene with young Angus at 11:29.373 for 1.040s that had to be cut, audio had to be silenced at 17:59.424 for 2.495s, missing small section of audio of the castle and Cathbad talking at 17:57.773

Eng audio was missing over 16sec of the beginning, had to copy in lower quality one, audio had to be padded with 400ms of audio at 5:40 to shift it to the right, German video missing a scene at Temra castle at 12:55

German video freezes for 320ms at 4:21.920 and had to be cut, Eng audio had to be cut 800ma at 5:28.400, German video missing footage at 11:22 of outside Temra castle had to paste in from other source, audio missing 1.985s of Dierdre talking pasted in from different source and had to shift it to the right by 300ms so just highlighted 1.685s of audio and then pasted,

German video freezes for a bit at 04:30.520 had to cut 440ms of video, Eng audio missing a small bit of Tork talking at 5:16 so pasted in 334ms of audio to fix, Eng audio also had to have 500ms cut at 5:16, German video missing a small scene of chickens outside Rowan’s hut at 10:48, cut 1.5sec of audio at 10:48, Eng version is messed up at 19:52 had to insert 1.5s of audio to shift to the right, missing a bit of Ivar’s audio, no telling what he said, the other Eng version is missing that footage as well, the only way would be to translate the German audio

Thanks to dasruesseltier from reddit for helping to translate the missing piece of audio from the German episode.

In the German episode Ivar says: “Vielleicht hat Fin Varra noch andere Dinge, die wir ihm zurückbringen sollen.”

Some translations from online:

I’m betting he said something along the lines of “Perhaps Fin Varra has – some other thing – something else for us – to recover”

I went ahead and just recorded that little bit of audio and created a subtitle to at least have something in there resembling what might have been said.

Both English audio’s are messed up a bit in the beginning, the better quality version had over 1 minute missing of the beginning, had to copy and paste 1.5s of audio from the beginning to shift it right, German video stuttered and froze for a bit at 06:01 had to cut 560ms of audio, had to cut 1s of audio from 7:14.800, German video fades to black at 12:47.600 where the US video transitions via overlay to the next scene, German video is missing some footage of Kahad looking at papers, had to cut 1s of audio from 18:25.100,

German video freezes for a bit at 7:31.360 but I just left it since removing it threw the audio off, audio had to have 300ms audio cut from 7:31.047, audio was messed up at 7:31 as well, missing over 1.75s of soldiers talking so had to copy from lower quality source, German video is missing a scene of Kells castle at 9:27.480, German video froze for a bit at 14:11.960 for 600ms and had to be cut, had to cut 1s of audio from 13:00.836, had to cut 1.5s of audio from 18:22

German video is missing a scene in Kells of a knight leaving the castle, the German video instead fades to the next scene of Lugad entering the castle, I could have just deleted the audio but I figured just put the missing scene in there for completions sake, audio missing over 1.75s of Tork talking at 11:23.750 so had to copy from lower quality source and had to cut 1s of audio from the same spot, had to cut 800ms of audio from 17:41.900, audio was messed up at 18:49.100, had to paste in 1.4s of audio to shift it to the right and then copy over 1.676s of audio from different source
(copied 9.209s of NTSC audio over 8.704s of PAL audio so it shifted the audio to the right by 500ms)

  2. This is amazing! I’m sure you’ve already got other projects in mind, but if you ever wanna do more Toku stuff, the Saban Masked Rider will most likely never be made available again, and I’d love a physical copy to put on my shelf!
